Dr Paul Atkins
Paul graduation from the University of Manchester, U.K. in 1976. In 1978, he moved to Melbourne and practised in General Dentistry returning to U.K. in 1985 to undertake postgraduate training at the Eastman Dental Hospital London. In 1987, he returned to Melbourne having gained his Masters Degree (MSc) in Conservative Dentistry and has since been part of a successful Dental partnership with Dr Ron Barber in the dental practice in Cheltenham.
In 1994, he was invited to be a part time clinical demonstrator in fixed prosthodontics (crown and bridge/implants) to the undergraduate students at the University of Melbourne. He continued teaching until 2003. Paul has been a member of varying study club and dental societies during his professional career in Melbourne.
He continues to be passionate about his profession especially in aesthetic and implant dentistry. Paul is a current member of the Australian Dental Association. Paul is married with two teenage children. In his spare time, he enjoys keeping fit in a variety of sports, traveling with his family, reading and photography.
Dr Andrew Tran
Andrew has always called Melbourne his home. Born and raised in the south-eastern suburbs, Andrew attended his schooling at Melbourne High School and graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2007 with a Bachelor of Dental Science. Andrew is an enthusiastic, compassionate dentist who is skilled in all facets of family dentistry. He is a strong advocate for providing positive, pain-free, friendly treatment.
His special interests are in endodontics (root canal therapy), crown and bridgework and dental implants. Andrew also continues to travel to the rural Victorian Gippsland town of Warragul to help meet the undersupply of dental services. He is currently a clinical demonstrator at the University of Melbourne Dental School. Outside of dentistry, you’ll most likely find him at a golf course or barracking for his beloved Geelong Football Club.
